Hi.

I am looking for a new Breguet Type XX w/ a leather strap. I was at a dealer the other day and was offered a 20% discount and wanted to know if that was a good deal?

In other forums, I read that some dealers can go up to 40% off. Is that accurate?

Finally, what % of a discount should I be negotiating?

Hi,

I would not recommend an XX, as it will not hold value at all. As you may know, it has been replaced by the XXI, a much improved model, however more expensive. 40% off on a new Breguet is very generous, but 30% off is attainable on an XX, maybe 20-25% off on the XXI. Hope this helps!

Just got a 45% off no sales tax on XXI Transatlantique at Tourneau.
I do know (good friend) the manager of the store though.

Go for 30%.
