Servicing a Rolex

Hello All !
As a brand new member to this forum I am seeking some advice on servicing a Rolex. I have owned 2 Rolex watches over the last 25 years or so and I acquired my present Datejust watch about 5 or 6 years ago through a jeweller friend of mine. I am the second owner of this Rolex and to be honest I'm not sure how old this watch is. When I purchased it (traded) it appeared to be in "new" condition. It has always run slightly fast but as of recent it's running a little slow.
I have never had this watch serviced and am wondering what is the best route for me to take to have it serviced?? Where do I send it for a complete servicing?
Thanks for any and all input.
Regards

Well truth be told any good watchmaker could service a Rolex its not rocket science to them, and no more difficult to service than any other. The main problem is getting parts so unless the watchmaker has a Rolex parts account its best send it or call your nearest RSC.
