Needing help with my first Tudor....... thinking bronze
Hello TRF family
First I hope everyone is safe and healthy I have been thinking of adding my first Tudor to the collection also thinking of adding a bronze watch, so this one hits both birds! Thinking of the 79250BM bronze black bay with brown dial and brown bezel I like it because It’s unique dial color I don’t have any bronze watches I kinda like that it’s the first bronze Tudor version, maybe collectible?? I like the 43mm case as I have a 7.6” wrist My questions are What do people think of that model? Those who have/had it, what’re your thoughts? I think it has potential collectibility, which adds another coolness factor, thoughts? I was able to find one at my AD for a reasonable discount and wanted to check in here before I pull the trigger Pictures are always appreciated Thank you!!

I prefer the 79250BM over the BA because of the bezel.
If the case size was smaller (or my wrists were bigger) I wouldn’t hesitate to add it... |

I like the Bucherer edition myself but don’t have the wrist for it

Hi, I Like mine, gave it an airing the other day, doesn't get much wrist time really, but it is nice to have, prefer to wear it when I have a bit more of a tan as I think it compliments it.,

I like mine a lot. It will develop a patina fairly quickly, especially with a little sweat on it in the summer.

I owned both at onetime. Both are solid watches in my opinion.

My first Tudor was the BB Bronze with brown dial. I like the warmth it exudes.

I have one however admittedly haven't wore it in months and months...
I do love it however? My beach watch and a seriously good looking fit and finish piece If rolex crown were all over it it would easily be a 15k watch in todays standards IMO For the money? Nothing can beat it |

I have the original brown-dialed/bezeled piece. It was not only my first Tudor but really my first "nice" watch. Though I've added a Speedy and Sub since I acquired the Bronze, I still wear it frequently. It's a comfy piece, looks good on different straps, and I just think it's super cool. I don't know what to say about collectibility, but I recommend you pick it up and start enjoying it already

I love mine. But, for a real dive watch, you will need to get a good rubber strap.

The Bronze is nice but would you consider a GMT for your first Tudor? :)

Surprised no one has mentioned this: watch out for the bezel corrosion issue with the bronze tudors. I wanted one as well but then saw how prevalent it was and to me totally unacceptable in a dive watch that is meant to see salt water. There is no real fix as the issue is galvanic corrosion with the contact of the two dissimilar metals (bronze and aluminum).

I've been in Dominican Republic months ago (Jan). That picture in my post was taken during that time, my Tudor BBB had contact with sea water, on a daily basis. Nowadays, the bezel still looks perfect. Enviado do meu iPhone usando Tapatalk |

Here’s mine, almost two years old with no bezel issue as some have experienced.

I don't own one personally but from the pictures seen it looks like a really good watch and I support a purchase.

Thats good to see. Curious that it affects some watches so badly, and not at all with some.
