16610 Differences

Still a newbie to Rolex, but I'm in the market for a Submariner 16610.

Just wanted to know some of the differences between the models from different years?

What year 16610 did Rolex begin to use 904l?

What year did the trip lock crown get introduced?

Is the same movement used throughout the life span of the 16610?

When was superluminova introduced and what year is it when the lumes were blue and not green?

All 16610 Sub Dates are made of 904L steel and have Triploc crowns.

They also all have the same 3135 movement inside.

Rolex changed from Tritium to Luminova in 98/99 throughout the model line-up and all 16610 models used the green.
