Rolex 5504 explorer
Hi all,
Im doing a bit of homework into the 5504 Explorer, I was wondering if anyone knew any good articles or had some info which would shed some light on an accepted serial range? Thanks in advance! Tom |

No serial range set in stone, it is all speculation since airking and explorer 5504s were both sold in the same serial ranges. The problem with the 5504 is that there was no difference between the explorer and air king other than the dials and hands, even on the paperwork unless there was an original receipt that actually listed the watch as an explorer. Getting an original dialed 5504 explorer is a 50/50 chance since so many air kings were swapped over to explorer dials for the mark up in the secondary market.
