How to Use the Easylink

I understand that to have the bracelet in the short position, you fold the link over itself until it clicks. But how do you put the bracelet in the long position? Do you just fold it out? Does it click for the long position?

I'm sorry if this is obvious, but the existing literature and YouTube videos out there on the Easylink don't specify if it clicks for the long position.

In the open position it just dangles freely.

To close, fold it over so that the open slot is lined up with the hinge, push firmly until you feel a tactile snap.

Yes, once you yank (carefully and gently pull) on it to get it out of the short position, it's in the long position, no clicking, just dangling.

My Daytona makes a auditable click both opening and closing. Probably because I so rarely us the feature. If it had a GlideLock instead I believe I'ed use it more often.

Jubilee on my datejust, but you effectively unclick it by pulling and it 'rolls back out' to the long position - no need for it to click into anything, it's just held at the longer length until clicked back in when folded over to reshorthen. As has been said, but thought I'd add it's same with the dangling on Jubilee as well as Oyster in-case anyone wondered on those.

Yes, effectively when it's unclicked and extended, it's like it just becomes another segment of the strap or bracelet itself, and is dangling free. Whereas when you want it shorter it clips to itself and locks into place.

I have it on the Oysterflex clasp and it works just the same as you're describing.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I think it would be wise for Rolex/YouTubers/websites to include two simple words -- "no click" -- to eliminate ambiguity. That being said, I hope this thread does well with SEO.

Snap it into place when the watch is off (or you can even do it when it's on if you practice). To loosen it, grab the end of the clasp at the 12 o'clock side (side where the easy link is) and pull up.
