Replacing permanent link

I had my AD remove a permanent link from the 6'o clock side of my 5 digit sub, but unfortunately the fit of the bracelet has gone from too loose to too tight... Is it possible to have the permanent link replaced? Cheers!

I had a similar experience, got a perminent link removed from 6 oclock side and then found out it was to “short”. So I sent in a half link from a 6 digit Sub to Rolliworks in California to fit correctly.

Generally you simply put a screw link in the place of the removed permanent link.

While permanent links are a press-fit, they are frequently damaged when they are pried apart. Unless you still have that link, they are not commonly found for sale.

I still have the link, but it doesn't look in the best of shape!

Often it is pulled apart by force using a couple pair of vice-grips. It would take somebody with a bit of talent and some metal-working experience to put it back together properly.

I expect that a shop like Rolliworks could do the job, as well as a few other bracelet experts. I don't know of a shop in your area.

Exactly why I just flipped the clasp around instead of removing a link. I like being able to switch it back at a moments notice.

Recently acquired a 16710 with a permanent link removed at the 6 o'clock. This is creating a "step" in the taper similar to this picture.

I don't have the link that was removed. How much would it be to have it added back?

Bracelet pieces are not readily available and so another would need to be sacrificed to get another link.

It is easier for you to find another bracelet half that you could cannibalize in it's entirety.

Alternatively, a jeweler or watchmaker with talent can taper the remaining links so that the step is removed.
