Congrats on this awesome watch.....I am still waiting on mine, although seeing all the Incoming Rootbeers, I am hopefully my AD will get mine soon too. How long did you have to wait, or where you one of the lucky ones that walked into your AD, saw it in the case and said "wrap that one up for me please"?

I was one of the lucky ones (I call it dumb luck - but I will take any luck I can get). Only had to wait 2 days to get it. I attribute most of my luck to my son. I only have 2 watches and he was the one who helped me get the first one a Milguass blue Z in Nov without any prior relationship with the AD. He called them and after discussing with the AD they figured we were watch guys and relented. This one - my son bored being cooped up so long decided to come down, visit and take me up to the AD's and look at watches. We walked in they saw the Z they sold me in Nov and saw that I wore it. We then had an hour and a half of discussing business, various watches & trying them on (Rolex, JLC's and others) with the mgr. Really great AD and a lot of fun for an old man like me. Asked about a Sky Dweller SS and he said he didn't have one - but let me try on on a Sky Dweller PM just to see the size on my small wrist but it was too big. I said to the mgr that it I could see banging it up wearing it and it wasn't right for me & their goes my dream watch. The mgr saw that I wasn't there to buy & flip. My son asked about the CHNR & they said they would get me one, put me on list and we left. Figured it would be quite a while - but I believed he would try & like I said it was a great day out. Then I got a call later that day they had one and to come and get it. Had to wait to get there - 2 days of agony - but I got it. That photo was in the AD's parking lot. My son really knows watches and loves discussing them. I think that was the key, plus the fact that I had the Z on and a helluva lot of dumb luck. Steve |
