I bought a 5 digit TT bluesy with Swiss only dial for quite a bit under that and being they only made that dial one year it’s not too presumptuous to say it should retain its value well.

I have both Subs and Gmts in 5 and 6 digit versions. Their both great in their own right. I was a staunch believer and lover of the more modern pieces but after adding another 14060m after trading my first one in on a new one I've come to love it and appreciate it more which also turned me on to a hunt for the right 5 digit Gmt which has become my favorite of all of my seven Rolex. Happy Hunting...

Gmt root beer would run you about 10k or less. 5 digit goodness and the best looking two tone out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I own a 16710 and a 114060. Based on how you have narrowed it down if it was my only watch the 114060 would be it. If I’m adding to an Explorer then I would go GMT, preferably 16710 and try to get the other bracelet/inserts. If you’d prefer a slightly flashier watch then the 116710 is solid.

I have a 214270 and was deciding between the 14060m and the 16600. I ended up going with the 16600 bc I wanted something a little less common in the wild. They’re also a pretty good value too, imho. Very happy with my decision.

I’d go 5 digit sub or gmt with that budget. Can find 6 digit at the price point too but if you talking long term value the earlier models will likely rise in value quicker than those newer models. That being said I’ve got both versions but future value never came into it. I just bought what felt good at the time.

I like some other comments would suggest a GMT 16710 a fantastic watch to own and good ones are still around for the right price

I would never buy a used one wait for what you want from an AD. I asked an AD for a GMT Master ll in November and had it in 3 weeks, you might want to give it a try.

16570 explorer or 16600 Seadweller,
Both affordable - for now!

Buy 4 old datejusts and rotate ‘em - then when they double in price you’ll feel better.
