My OP39 was loosing 3 seconds an hour

I put it on this morning, gave it a full wind and checked it an hour later, it was -3 seconds. I only had it since March and normally it runs -2 a day.

So I reset it, made sure it had a full wind and it did it again.

So I used my demagnetizer, set it with time.gov and low and behold +/- 0 after 6 hours.

No idea how it got that way, but it was an easy fix.

Well in the real world when any movement gets magnetised which is very unlikely, they speed up and run very erratic and not slow down.

Zero seconds still this morning.

What ever was wrong, demagnetizing it made it more accurate than when I bought it.

Very glad I didn’t have to sent it in.

My ex's datejust 31 ran 15minutes slower over the weekend.

Called up sales person and she asked me to bring it in. Then she will help me send to service center. The service center being within 5km from the place I bought, I brought it in myself. Watch was indeed magnetized, they helped to demagnetized and it was all good again.
