Journe seams to have dropped the Rubber Bumpers, Thoughts?
Just noticed on the FP Journe site that most of the Sports Lineup, Linesport no longer have the rubber inserts on the case and bracelet.
Makes the watch look more like many others on the market and probably is slightly less comfortable, but will likely broaden the appeal of the model line. I have an Sportline Octa in Titanium, the older smaller case. The rubber bumpers was one of the reasons I got the watch. Would love to hear everyone thoughts. |

Personally I prefer the look with the rubber. It could be that it will just take time to adjust to the new look but right now I’m see the rubber and the contrast it adds as a big positive.
Of course there are several instances of bad wear and tear on the rubber, both the older versions like yours and mine (I have a Ti CTS) and the newer watches. But those seem to be limited in number. |

I like them all much better without the rubber. It didn’t really accomplish its purpose of making the watches more durable, and, honestly, it just looked odd. Perhaps a little less odd in the titanium, but extremely odd when they added the gold and platinum to the sports line.
