Feel good factor

Got my first Rolex last week, 116613LB Bluesy and it’s given me a feeling I’ve not had for a long time, every morning I put it on it makes me feel good, I don’t care about the size of the lugs, whether it gains or loses some time, that it has a ceramic bezel, that it has PCL’s I just enjoy it for what it is.
I had the same feeling back in the day 1989 when I was able to afford a 911 and every day was a pleasure driving that car, sadly those days disappeared so nice to relive those feelings.

That’s awesome man! I’m glad to hear it gives you some happiness. Has it bumped anything off your wrist? And could you attach a photo some time??

Thanks, it is nice to have something to enjoy as life can be a bit of a chore sometimes, I only had a Citizen before, it was a stand in until now, can’t seem to workout how upload pictures.

Heck yeah

Very happy for you. It’s weird how such a small thing can mean so much to us, but it does.

I don’t fly very often, and a couple of months ago, I had to fly for work, and was sitting in the airport, a little nervous and feeling very alone.

Then I looked at my watch, and somehow I felt very happy and comfortable.

I share your admiration for the watch. The TT Blue Sub is one of the best looking watches Rolex make IMHO..

Good to find pleasure in everyday life. Whether it’s a nice watch, a special car or an unforgettable outdoor outing.
I enjoy those feelings everyday, doing my bicycle ride, caring for a gang of stray cats, wearing my 2 mechanical watches...
As long as these things will keep me smiling I’ll consider myself lucky.

Hi Ranger,

Posting photos can be a little tricky at first until you get the hang of it, then it's a doddle.

First thing I'd recommend is download FastStone Photo Resizer 4.3. JPEG images have to be 1250x1250 maximum & most iPhone images are 1600x1200. Once i'd taken my photos i emailed them to myself via my mobile. I could then save them on my desktop s-drive. That way it was easy to resize using FastStone.

Once you've done that follow the below steps;

New post/reply>Advanced options>Attachments>choose file>upload>preview post and add/edit text.

There may be an easier way (hopefully someone will chip in if so) but this worked for me after a few hours of pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. It sounds complicated but it really isn't, took me less than 5 minutes once I'd worked it out. It's worth learning so you can post pictures now and again.

The bluesy is one of the best looking pieces Rolex offer, it would be a shame not to show it off.

DM me if you're not sure and i'll talk you through it.

I don't get to drive my 911 often enough. Every once in a while, I think to myself I should sell her, I barely ever take her out anymore. Then I get behind the wheel, get the engine warmed up, take a spirited drive on a back road and realize there is no way I can sell her. I haven't yet found a watch that gives me similar feeling.

911's do that - once you have had one - they are difficult to live without!

Got my Bluesy two weeks ago tomorrow. I agree with you, hearing folks on here talking about lugs, ceramic bezels, etc, no idea. When I'm wearing this watch which BTW is so beautiful, I too have the same feeling about it as I do about many things including my 911...Big congrats!!!

I know the feeling. Life should have little special occasions built into it. Wearing a quality mechanical watch is one of them for me.

Congratulations on the LB. It's a beauty. It got me going on my TT explorations.
