Picked up a SD43 on Friday. Suits my ham sized hands perfectly.

Another SD43 vote from me.
I'm picking one up on Saturday, have previously owned a deepsea and submariner before, found the Deepsea just too deep and top heavy, submariner supercase too unbalanced and just looks wrong, tapered lugs and extra presence of the SD43 look ideal to me

I have the new version of the DSSD JC, a Hulk a Submariner-C ND and a YG Submariner with the blue dial. I found that for a big watch the SD43 and the DSSD both have proportions that are redundant for me. The dial of the DSSD JC is beautiful and the Submariner ND is a perfect under the radar watch for me. I think the SD43 does not have much of a place in my dive line-up from Rolex right now. Not that it is not a great watch, it just does not have a place right now. As a one and only diver the SD43 would be my choice for you if you did not want the classic 114060 ND Submariner. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
What an awesome Rolex diver collection

OP I go with a Submariner. My daily is the 116610LN on a 7.5 inch wrist. If I were going bigger in the diver family, I'd actually prefer the 126660 DSSD to the SD43 for a daily. SD43 for me digs into the back of my wrist. Does not happen with the Submariner nearly as much and the DSSD nearly at all for me.

Sd43 or submariner date

On May 12th I asked this question. Fast forward a little over 2 months and I have these 3. Thanks a lot TRF lol. To answer my own question I think I prefer the sd43 as it’s my daily driver.

The SD43 is a better (3235), more handsome (proportion, lugs, bracelet), more special (50th anniversary), more expensive, more rare, with a touch of vintage (red text), and I love the weight, height, caseback and everything about the SD43, BUT is only for a fan Of Rolex divers, because the SubC is more than enough for a daily watch and is more comfy. I had 2 and I trade the SubC for a DSSD, my wrist is 6.7.

At that thickness will it fit under a shirt cuff? Any pics would be appreciated. Also looking at a MK1 dial but the card is dated 2018. I have read a few comments how a true MK1 will only have a 2017 card.

I like the sub but feel if I buy it will I regret not getting the MK1 SD43? Also I would be a little bummed if they update it to the newer movement. The price difference is about $2,500. It’s not really an issue as I think both would hold their value.

If you had the choice which one would you get if you could only have one as a daily.

Awesome! The SD43 looks like a vintage sub on your wrist.
