I know it is Monday now, but I just couldn't believe all those submariner photos without a single 116619LB anywhere in sight!

So for all you WG lovers, here it is glistening in the background while I work away on my laptop.

I know the Sub is iconic but I bet that 90% of the owners never been in the ocean wearing one, especially diving. I own a AK and I'm not a pilot but I do travel, just don't see the big deal with the Sub. See one and you seen then all. The watch hasn't changed much in the last two decades or more. I know I'm going to get some backlash but why buy a fishing pole if you don't fish.. BTY, when I fist started to research Rolex for the first time ever the Sub was one of my favorites until I saw all the other models.

On another thread they were asking if Submariner is overrated?! As if!!!!

Fine looking examples of the most underrated watches on the planet!

I take mine in the water all the time. Many here do the same. And yes, have even taken it diving.

It’s iconic precisely because it hasn’t changed much over the years.

If you take your logic a bit further, why do you bother to wear a watch at all? You have a supercomputer in your pocket that also tell the time - extremely precisely.

Why do you wear yours? I'm sure you also have a supercomputer in your pocket.. I wear mines because I've always liked watches. I just don't like the Sub or Daytona. Different strokes for different folks.

The Sub is the 911 of watches, classic design with subtle changes and a few variations, but I expect many 911’s that have a top speed of 175 mph rarely go much over the speed limit but they feel good to drive as does wearing a Sub.

I have a pool in my backyard so I’m always jumping into that. Plus, I live in FL just 20 mins away from the beach. Lots of Sub owners down here like me.

Nice pool. you put your Sub to good use. I'm in Philly...no beaches around here, just the Delaware River which I wouldn't let my dog swim in it. my two oldest children live in Miami. Too hot for me down there. I usually visit every year but due to Covid19 I won't go anytime soon.
