They have black Sub Date.
What do You think, buy this watch or to wait for the GMT with new mech and jubilee?

You mention the GMT, do you mean you are on the waiting list for Pepsi or Batman? Ask the AD the position and estimated wait time for it. Could be 2 years. Also, are you ok with owning them both? Would you be financially comfortable? If so, then no brainer. If not, and you have to wait for a year or two, enjoy it, see if you like it, other comes in and either keep the sub or trade in. If you don’t get it, you have less options.

OP how dare you ask for people opinions on Rolex watches on the Rolex forums...

I would go for the Sub Date it is tough to come by and if you get the call on the GMT, you can always trade in the Sub Date towards it.

To those complaining about the post, why are you posting on the thread complaining about the OP’s post. There are a lot of other threads.

I think these kind of posts come up because people don't know anything about the brand but want to get one just because it's a Rolex. I have this opinion because if I walked into Hermes and a SA told me that it's my lucky day and they will sell me "xyz" if I want it. I would have no idea if I should buy it or not.

So rather than spend a few minutes searching TRF it's easier to just ask.

So like I replied earlier.. Buy it! I think?

OP, if you are new to the brand, the Submariner is an iconic reference... not just within the Rolex brand but in the watch making industry.

Arguably, it’s the most famous wrist watch design, period, full stop. If the watch appeals to you because of this or because of its functionality, I think it’s a no brainer.
