Aftermarket Diamond Bezel?
I've been eyeing the new DJ for a while and last time at my AD I saw one with the factory diamond bezel configuration. Was never a big diamond kind of guy but wow that looked nice.
Here's my issue: I'm quite frugal with my money and whenever I make purchases I always consider the value versus the cost. When it comes to diamonds, I know there is a MASSIVE markup and I just can't get myself to pay the price... At least not for a factory setting. The additional cost (in EU) for the diamond bezel (vs steel) is $8650 USD. Should I ever wish to sell it, I know it will be taking a big hit on the second hand market, not even factoring in the potential difficulty for finding a buyer for a diamond watch. What's the general consensus for fitting an aftermarket diamond bezel on your rolex? I'm usually one that wants to keep everything 'original/factory' but the diamond markup is just something I can't get myself to do. |

An aftermarket would never give me the satisfaction as an original would. It,s not only the name for which you pay the mark up. Quality of diamonds used have a great influence on price.
Buying any luxury item doesn’t make sense anyway. I would save up some more
