16610: Does a version exist that has Tritium and SEL?
Hello All,
Finally ready to start a serious hunt for a 16610 Sub after several years of saving up. Can anyone tell me if there is a certain year(s)) or serial number(s) set that has both SEL ( solid end links ) and Tritium dial? I believe the SELs where introduced in the late 90s but I am not sure when the Tritiums stopped being produced and if SEL were ever included on a T dial. Any help is greatly appreciated. best, Max |

Unfortunately you are out of luck. However, Seadwellers are a different story...

You can put a 93250 SEL bracelet on an earlier Tritium dial Sub Date, as long as it has the SEL machined lip on the case.

Exactly. My 16610 S serial Sub (bought new on 1995, has tritrium dial and lugs with holes on the case) came from factory with the 93150 non SEL bracelet but as pointed above has the SEL case lips, so it can be used with SEL bracelets (have used both, the glydelock 97200 as well as the easylink version). The 93250 will work as well.

Thank you so much everyone, this is wonderful tips. I think I will focus on finding the t dial with the correct lip that can fit the SEL.
Is there an easy way to tell if the model has a SEL Machined Lip on the case? |

Can think of 3 ways to tell: 1- Confirmation from seller that it has it based on serial letter / sequence or because he sucessfully fitted an SEL bracelet. 2- A picture showing the caseback revealing the lip (as shown here, marked on white) 3- A picture of the watch with an SEL bracelet fitted Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
