116613 (blusey)p
So I love this watch. But I’m awfully new yet.
1) how can you tell if it has flat or sunburst dial? I see some listings that differentiate but I can’t figure out the rhyme or reason. 2) is it allocated or is it high demand like the 116610? 3) i Live in a fairly high tax state (Cali) but within driving range of a tax free state, Oregon. Do sellers ever bargain or am I better off just making a drive? 4) Unlike the 116610 and 16610 there is a significant price difference between the old and new. Is the newer model really worth a several thousand dollar premium if I go second hand? Thanks Last edited by ath913; 23 July 2020 at 08:48 AM.. Reason: Hit enter too soon |

The 116613LB currently on sale through Rolex ADs has a sunburst dial. And it's spectacular.
Whereas I couldn't get on a UK AD list for a Hulk, I got a Blusey through my AD in about eight months with a discount in November 2018. I have seen the Bluesy on display to buy in a number of European ADs since then. If you are thinking about a second hand six digit model, a used one in good condition for a good price sounds like a good bet. Assuming it hasn't been abused and is genuine. This model was sold for a time with a flat blue dial. There is no comparison to the 5 digit morel. The older watch is beautiful and achingly, timelessly cool, but IMO (yours may differ) is insubstantial and flimsy. Although some consider the thinner lugs more elegant. Providing it's genuine and not a dog, you can't go wrong. |

Not sure if they are allocated but it wouldn’t surprise me. It’s my favorite blue dial rolex. I walked in on one in the case and fell in love. Bought it on the spot.

I see these in cases from time to time so I wouldn't put it in the "hard to get" category but it's honestly one of my favorite modern Rolex. The colors work nicely together.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a five digit bluesy. Finding a 16613 in excellent condition that hasn’t been over polished will be a bit of a challenge.

I recently picked up a new 116613lb this past May at my local AD. I had looked at 16613lb for about 8k at a different dealer, but when I saw the new one I really liked it more. My AD had one in stock and it was my first purchase from him. I did not have to wait, he sold it to me the first time I walked in but I paid full retail. I am very happy with my watch. However, you are right about the significant price difference between the two. I would say you can't go wrong with either.

I don’t like the cartoon blue on the 116613lb bezel and is the reason why I sold mine after 2 years. The dark blue on the 16613 bezel works much better.
The cartoon blue was there to suit the flat blue dial, it just doesn’t suit the sunburst dial and should have been updated at the same time. Buy a 116613ln. |

Its a stunning watch, and IMHO the most attractive TT watch Rolex does. Availability? I have heard of people walking into AD's and buying from stock. Others have had to wait months from their AD. Maybe its luck.

I have owned both the 5 digit & 6 digit 13LB. Personally, I prefer the maxi dial, the maxi case, the solid gold links, the glide lock, and the clasp of the 6 digit.
The sunburst blue dial, on the 6 digit, is beautiful! The original flat blue dial was not aligned with my taste. I purchased mine at an AD, with a nice discount. I recommend that you get them on your wrist, and listen to which one sings to your heart! Happy Hunting! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
