I couldn't find the etched crown on my 2004 Gmt with a 10X loupe. I was convinced it was replaced. It took a microscope to see it.

I spent 45 minutes looking for mine... Then saw the post that it didn't start until 2000. Mine's a 1999... Doh! The RSC replaced the crystal at the last service with a crystal that still doesn't have it.

I used a 10x loupe and still can’t see mine. I bought straight from AD 2 years ago

Zoom in as close as you can...stay in focus, angle a bit and use your flash, it will show a reflection....or use a loupe...
