DRSD - anything to be cautious about?
I've spotted a few things but Just seeing if any one can spot more!
Late Mk IV dial, Curved back which does match 5,2 SN, sn in inside of back. '77 bracelet Serviced @RSC Replaced lume pip. Although seconds hand looks different in pic, in flesh matches. |

Yeah, that clasp is flatter than a witch's tit. And those lugs look horrible, I'd recommend keep searching. Unless your getting it on the low.

In fact, the photo of the dial looks (on a first quick view) ok for me, I can’t see any major defects (chips, scretches, etc.). Do some more and better photos from all areas of the dial using normal light and UV. Of course you must compare all details with 'reference' Mk4 dials.
The date wheel looks (a bit) strange, i.e. flat white, not a brushed surface. It has open 6+9 and a flat 3? For the case, I also wonder about the surface pitting on the valve side, or is that remaining glue of a tape? The bezel insert somehow has a strange colour, the numbers appear a bit reddish on the photo. The bracelet clasp has nothing left from a Rolex part, could even be a fake component. Serviced at RSC (where?) and they did not say anything? I would not invest in that watch but wait/search for a much better DRSD. Not sure if selling prices are disclosable here or not. |

I would look for a much better and correct example.
