Oysterflex on Platinum Daytona?
Is it possible?
I'm pretty unfamiliar with how the Daytona OF works on the WG model. Are the end links permanent? If not would they fit a Pt? Would an OF fit a Pt Daytona without the end links? Anyone done this? Also, does anyone know what size OF for a 6.5 wrist? Thanks!!! |

From what I’ve read (I may be wrong), the rolex oysterflex is only compatible with oysterflex models. Same goes for the steel/pm bracelets. However you could probably buy an aftermarket rubber bracelet that would fit.

The endlinks are permanent; the same as they have always been for "strap" model Daytonas.
An Oysterflex fits like any other bracelet/strap, and so you can put one on any Daytona. You just can't put on the end link spacers.

Oysterflex on Platinum Daytona?
In case you haven’t seen Chadridv’s thread, he’s documented the process of mounting OysterFlex to a standard SS Daytona, including the use of aftermarket end links.
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...ink_source=app I doubt they have those end links in Platinum but you could ask... |

I tried a leather strap with my Platona before. Just felt it was not so secure due to the heavy head. Oysterflex is even lighter than leather strap I think.

Yes, they fit into machined pockets and can be removed if you pull the bezel. The point is that they cannot be used on other Daytona cases that are not machined to accept them.

I’ve thought about this before as well, but I think the color mismatch on the bezel and strap made it a no go for me. Plus super paranoid about damaging the lugs.

I don’t have a platinum Daytona. If I did, I’d get a white ceramic steel Daytona and add a rubber strap/OF to that instead. Just my two cents.
