93150 bracelet availability

Hi gents,

I have a circa 2008 no-date Submariner, 14060M, that I'd like to buy a new 93150 bracelet for. My understanding is that in the past, you could purchase this bracelet from a Rolex AD, or order it through them.

Is this still the case? Can an AD get a NOS 93150 bracelet?

Thanks,
DeWayne

I think so.

You may consider “fixing” your current bracelet (if this is the case, e.g. stretch) to save some money.

Yes you can. But did you really manage to destroy the original bracelet in 12 years!??

No, it's not destroyed. But it's been polished by a previous owner, poorly, and then I had it polished again to try to rectify, and I'm not entirely happy with the net result. Thus, I would like to buy a NOS replacement.

Did you have it polished by an expert? Seems like you didn't go through an RSC, or you'd already have bought a bracelet from them. If the bracelet wasn't outright mangled, it can almost certainly be brought very close to like-new by a sufficiently skilled watchmaker.

Correct, it did not go through an RSC. It was done by an "expert" who did a laudable job, but it's still pretty easy to spot as a refinished bracelet, in my opinion. The problem is, I am an expat living in Saudi Arabia, and by the time I've sent this thing all over the world for work, then back to Saudi, paying Customs, VAT, etc., I am about $100 away from a new bracelet! So, rather than spend more money on this one trying to make it look new, I would rather simply buy a new bracelet and sell this one.

Send it in to the dealer but be prepared they might insist on a service whilst they're at it.

Alternatively, check out somebody like Rollie Works. The things he can do are incredible. You shouldn't have to pay customs and VAT sending your own bracelet out for repair as long as the shipping note states it's being repaired. Shipping costs will be pricey though.

Saudi charges Customs/VAT regardless if it's just been sent for repair. Been there, done that.
