I think I know the answer but...
Got the opportunity today, with a bit of dealing with another watch to have the choice between
A Rolex GMT Master 16700 Pepsi (1992) Serviced and immaculate. Its had a new Bezel insert and new sapphire, July of this year. Or a Deepsea Sea Dweller 116660 (2013) I have a brand new Pepsi but always loved the older ones. They are pretty similar in price, both with all the boxes etc and from a dealer I have used many times before. Advice would be great, I like both watches, but can only have one. |

Can you try them on? I think that’s the only way to tell, but either one will be a great pick up.

I would go Pepsi. I’ve owned a 126660 DSSD before, it has the newer bracelet and wears nicely though huge. The 116660 has a straighter bracelet and isn’t as comfortable, to me, jr wears like a huge piece of metal whereas the 126660 felt more manageable.

16700
If a DSSD, I would go for the newer version with wider bracelet. |

Pepsi, seems like you have a Sub Date which is probably the only dive watch you need

you have a Pepsi already, go for the DSSD D-Blue if you can swing it, the dial is amazing and the watch is such a statement

You've got what I consider to be the best GMT available.
Adding the ultimate diver would be my choice. Biased here as well but I've got the JC 126660. |

Pepsi, you can easily get extra bezel inserts, so you can flip between black pepsi and coke, you can also flip between oyster and jubilee brackets, so much versatility!

They wear very different. Given you have the new pepsi, I would proably go SD even if the 16700 is one of my all time favorites.

DSSD looked great in pics till i tried it on. What a big watch. I understand what it stands for, but even if one was gifted to me i'd probably rarely wear it, if ever; cant imagine pulling the trigger on one. Pepsi all the way.

They're two different watches, wear different, and definitely sized differently. You should try them on before buying. With that said, I'd go with the Pepsi if it were me.
