[Need_Help] Genuine Daytona ?
Hi guys,
I have a doubt. I know this is really hard nowadays to be able to identify real vs fake, but obviously your help can be valuable if I’ve missed something. What do you think about this watch ? Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

No clue at all why purchasing this particular model from anyone other than an extremely vetted seller with pristine history is even a consideration.

To be honest this is for a close friend of mine.
I told him to go to an AD, but doesn’t want to wait indefinitely or pay huge premium for that. I am doubtful about this watch as I know replica are flooding right now. If you can help with these pictures, cool. If not, thanks. Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

Looks OK to me...however if you can share the pics of the clasp, opened and close and the case back and the bracelet/lug hole that will help.

OP Seems OK to me...if this is a fake, its a very good one. We have more experienced folks on this forum than me...perhaps they can add more value to this thread as well.

First thing I notice is the bezel inlays and they just look to weak/thin compared to a real one. Crown on the clasp also looks a little less crisp than it should. Right hand side lugs are also almost (?) symmetrical to the left, which on the real steel they are very clearly not (which I still don't get and puts me off big time as a side note). Maybe this is an illusion.
I think it's a classic current "superfake". I always wonder with these threads, so weird ... |

Horrible pics, watch looks fake.
I‘d like to see the bracelet screws in a sharp pic |

I he doesn't want to be bothered getting it verified . . . is he expecting you to do it for him, or are you simply offering?

Thanks for your remarks.
Nope, the seller looks confident enough but my friend hesitate. That’s why I just told him that prior to go to an AD on Monday, I could post a message in the forum to have a opinion from people who are more educated on Daytona than me. But you confirm my concern on this...at least some of you. Thanks a lot. Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk |

Watch is garbage. Any further efforts/evaluation would be a waste of time.

There are some very very good u-tube videos with side by side comparisons of a real Daytona and one of the new super clones.

The platinum coating on the bezel looks dull and the subdials also looks a little bit too shiny. I could be wrong as well. But not worth the risk.
