Does the OP41 mean we can expect a new Datejust?

The news of the OP41 got me thinking. Since they decided to bump up the sizing up the OP line does that mean we can expect some sort of revamp to the DJ 41 line?Possibly a size increase? I personally would welcome some new dial layouts

I really think it depends. Rolex may be looking at the OP line to be the "fun" line with the new dial color schemes, and try to keep the DJ41 more to the classic look. I would like to see some newer dial layouts - probably not as bright but add some variations in the mix.

Agree with this. They downsized the DJ41 from 41 mm to 39.5 mm. They upsized the OP to fill in the void for larger wrists that don't want sport models.

It's a shame because if the DJ41 was actually 41 I would have gotten one. You can still get DJII's on the secondary market if you are looking for a true 41 mm Datejust.

It's all a matter of perspective also. It takes a week or so to get used to any new case size.

It's like writing with a MontBlanc 149 - it's thick and heavy. But if you go to the MontBlanc 146 you think it's too thin.

Start the other way around and after a week you think the exact opposite when you pick up then MB149.

Unless you switch watches every day, your watch size memory may lead to an affinity to the size you're used to seeing.

I think the DJ41 is a perfect size if you want the larger size watch (coming from a 41mm Aqua Terra).

I don't think Rolex would update the DJ so soon after having done so. Plenty of people are very happy with the current 36 and 41 sizes.
