Huh? LOL

The white lettering on the new one is horrid. It doesnt flow with the watch or the color scheme.

The gold lettering on the blue dial is classic way to execute these color combos. The white text looks totally out of place. Worst part about the watch.

I would still buy the new one if the old one was not available to purchase anymore. If I had the choice though I'd still choose the 116613LB or the 116618LB over the new one.

BUT in saying that its the best and nicest release out of the entire 2020 submariner line. Its going to be popular thats for sure.

My opinion

I’m pretty young in the realm of WIS and I always thought the gold writing looked dated. The white pops more and matches the datewheel, it looks better to me.

The full gold one probably has enough gold on it anyway. It's stealth lettering.

Right? I can’t believe all the sites haven’t been posting pics of this and only focusing on kermit/blue WG version. I get it’s not ‘new’ but it looks great.

Dunno if your looking at the same watch. LOL

I didn't think a single person would say that white lettering looks better than the gold. If you look at the dial enough the white just totally looks out of place. Its the very first thing I noticed and my reaction was like "WTF did they do that for" and I dont think I was the only one with that reaction.

Anyway if you like it better thats good for you. Time to buy one then.

I agree with the majority on this thread - why change the writing from white to gold - looks out of place and even cheaper. They could have maybe made the date wheel gold like the 16613 and then keep the gold text. IMO the old Blusey and even the 16613 look better then the new model.

I also like the white text on the bluesy, I think it modernises the look and works well, though as always requires viewing in person to be sure.

If they had put that bluesy dial on the WG with the white text I think they would have had an absolute winner.

Gorgeous! Love all the changes. Adding 1mm to the bracelet all the way around (as pointed out in the video) gives it a more robust less dainty look. I even liked the blue WG better in this video than in previous photos. The bluesy looks terrific. That watch was always a beauty. Too much flash for my wrist but I see the appeal. All the watches looked amazing in this video. Thanks for posting

I have a Bluesy I bought new at my AD in late 2018 and honestly prefer it to the new one. I don't like the absence of the gold text on the new one, plus I'm unclear as to whether or not the new one has the beautiful sunburst dial.
