Any insurer can insure retail value or market value with appraisal.
Alternatively you can have a lump sum amount dedicated for jewelry coverage under your home insurance policy which would cover the market value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Right, but looking at JM for instance they are requesting an appraisal, so I was wondering who appraises watches in this case at market value, not msrp which sounds like any AD would do it.

Standby by to stand by. On some watches market value is way higher and u will pay accordingly. Example: SD43 with $250 deductible is $190 per year to insure at msrp. Shouldn’t be too terrible to source from AD if a claim is filed, could take a little time, but doable.
Blue Skydweller on other hand Sourced from AD at msrp is impossible. So to insure It at my appraised value ($25,000+ per my watch appraiser) I need to pay $510 per year with a $500 deductible. Do that for a few watches a year and u will pay thousands annually. |
