I cant offload my bluesy

I have now owned my Submariner 1166613LB for over 2 years and since have been offered or have owned around several sports SS models but cant part with the bluesy. Its sunburst dial and look has a unique persona and believe its one of the finest looking models in the Rolex range.
I am on a list for the Daytona and other models that are sought after but dont believe I will accept the other models as wont part with one of the finest looking models Rolex have produced.
Am I biased or is there a fan of the model that would empathise on this.

I'm sure there are many like you. I would take the bluesy over a Daytona any day of the week.

The Bluesy is a great looking watch, it's on my radar, waiting for the call.

I like the Bluesy but prefer a smaller profile watch!!!

For sure.

I'd take almost any other Rolex over the Daytona, from an aesthetic point of view. Of course, that's just my particular taste.

I agree with you that the Bluesy is a stunning watch. It is the most “preppy” watch on the market.

Of course, this style is loved by many ... and “too much“ for others.

I was lucky to “get the call” from my AD for a black Daytona last Christmas, but (similar to your assessment) it does not capture me as much as my personal favorite - The BLNR.

this was the watch that caught my eye when i first learned about rolex (way before i could afford them) -- and it was my first rolex purchase some 20+ years later, when i was ready to buy one.

When I was a kid and didn't know anything about watches (except that I loved them), if somebody mentioned the word "Rolex" it was a bluesy that came to my mind. For me it is pure Rolex. Congrats on having found your wrist's soul mate.

I have been fortunate to buy some very nice and expensive pieces. I always look at my blue sub and ask myself “what watch should I wear today that can take the spot of my bluesy”. When I started this journey 4 years ago, and with very little knowledge of Rolex or any other brand, I knew that I wanted one, to me, when I thought about Rolex, I always pictured the blue & gold sub. It is my daily and the one with the most meaning to me. I like them all, but it’s hard to forget your 1st!

It's fortunate that you've found "the One" that you actually love. I'm still hunting for mine. Getting an Exp2 today, I hope to feel the same :-)

I wore a Bluesy for 15 years. It’s so unique and will not be mistaken for any other model. The new BLNR is my ultimate Rolex for me. It embodies everything I like about the “Rolex Look”. The Bluesy is coming back and is on a upswing in popularity. David SW just commented on TT models.

IMHO, Rolex got absolutely everything right with the new BLNR. That seems to be becoming a rare thing these days. When you find the right watch and connect with it, you kinda stop looking.

I'm a big 116613LB fan and own one. It's a lovely watch. I don't like the Daytona, so I empathise, although from a slightly different perspective.
