What to call the 11____ generation now that the new generation has same # of digits

So I'm not making this thread because I want to race to find a cute nickname, but because it seems like there legitimately isn't a widely accepted term for the now-almost-entirely-discontinued 11____ generation of Rolexes (or 21____ in the case of the DD2 and Explorers).

We've called the various generations of Rolexes four-digit, five-digit, and six-digit for many years now. But now that there's a whole new generation and it's still six digits, sometimes we need to specify which watches we're talking about.

I find myself typing out "11____ generation" every time I talk about the now-previous generation, and I wonder if there is an accepted term you guys use?

We could call them "double-one" maybe? I really don't care what we call them; it just seems like it would be useful to have a term.

Maybe 6.1 vs 6.2 digits

More like how Porsche does with their 911s

I was actually thinking about this the other day. It was easy to refer to 4 digits, 5 digit and 6 digits as a point of reference in conversation.

11 series vs 12 series, both six-digit. The "new generation" 12 series is just a minor update from 11, compared to the major changes from pre-ceramic/pre-maxi references that occurred from five-digit to six-digit.

That was the issue when talking of 5 digits. 16800 and 16610 are both 5 digit but are different watches, right? But we still call both 5 digit, since they have some common traits. If we want to refer to something specific about one or the other we say 16610 or 16800. We can do the similar thing for 6 digits.

6 digit GMT is any 6 digit GMT. New GMT is the one of the new 6 digit GMTs. All 6 digit GMTs are ceramic, all have larger cases, all are relatively modern. Yet if we mean one with RG or one on Jubilee or one with the new movement generation, we say the new GMT.

Until we see 13xxxx it's not an issue.
