Glashutte Original SE Perp Cal :(

OK
Went to my local AD and tried it on today.
I knew how the whole bezel worked to start with
BUT I must admit using it in person I was a bit
let down....
Just really quite a pain in the butt to figure out
a second time quickly.
I was certain this was the watch for me but to be honest
the bezel really let me down when I tried using it.
I was really in love with it as I have never seen a sports
watch with the complications it has and that looks as nice.

Saw pics of the Senator Perp Navigator and its nice
but looks like its missing the bezel with the
way the crystal sits and is framed.

Now I am at a loss.... I was convinced the SE Perp Cal
was my next watch but as I said the bezel just annoys me.
I wish the watch was a GMT with GMT bezel instead of
a World Timer, even no GMT hand and a 12 hr bezel would be better.............

I guess I may look at the Fifty Fathoms a bit more.

Nahh not money to burn.
I keep my watch fund separate and have just
moved a few pieces at once and freed up some cash.
I hate just letting that cash sit in the watch fun account...
This will likely be my last big purchase of the year due to lots
of other expenses coming up and I don't see myself selling anything
else really...

Jeremy,

you're picky, but that's good - some of us end up with impulse buys that we later regret...

I need to keep thinking about this....
I really do think it is ideal for what I want it for
the more I look at it.

The sales rep was NOT well versed in this watch and
how to use it.... He just seemed lost so that made
it worse....

I just need to decide if I want a GMT or a world timer.
They are not one and the same.

The world timer is cool but if you travel I still have a feeling you
would adjust the time on the dial instead of using the bezel and calculating
it all the time.

I love the watch and its almost everything I want.
I think I would be happier if it was a GMT BUT I wouldn't like it
without some type of bezel (I saw the Senator Navigator Perp Cal and it looks like the Sport Evo Perp Cal without a bezel and I didn't like it... The crystal just looked weird to me.)

I am going to keep brainstorming and looking around the web, listening to all of your suggestions and luckily Mosco has been trying to help me come up with ideas as well.

I know how you feel...being disappointed seeing it in person. That happened to me the first time I saw an IWC portugese...i was not in the market but for how large it is it felt much too light which made it seem flimsy. :(
