Icon5 Opinions on this vintage 16660

Hello, saw this one on the local buy sell website.

Does the dial and bezel look ok, watch is from 1984.

No clear picture of caseback provided in the listing.

Seller is asking 11300 US$. Only box and anchor, no paperwork.

Someone has had the best out of that - and you'll be expected to pay more for that than anyone has before? Wouldn't be me..

What happened to the two vertical lines on the fliplocker?

11k? That's insane. Someone beat that sub into the ground. Its been polished by someone clueless. Patina is nice but I don't like how those elevens are looking in that window either. Hard pass imo. You can do better for that price.

Seem like a high price for this example.

Watch head is polished beyond belief. WAaaaaay, waaaay too high a price for what it is.

First time I have ever seen such thin date numbers, BUT I am no expert on older models.

Pass and get a better one for a reasonable price.

to add to the overpolished case, the lume looks like waterdamage and not patina.
I‘d check out how the movement looks before you hand over any money.
I bet that you‘ll find some corrosion inside

is the fliplock aftermarket or did they not initially put the lines on it?

The older 93150 bracelets do not have the lines on the flip lock. This is probably a 93160? But I guess it is the same for them.

The patina on that piece isn't genuine.
