RCS Warranty Work Delay

My 126710BLRO that I bought new in December of 2018 started running minus 5 minuets per week this summer. My AD looked at the watch and sent it in for warranty work in late August. After 8 weeks he inquired about the status of my watch & was told it would be another 5 weeks until it would be returned. This seems like an unacceptable amount of time to fix a watch. Anyone else have this long of a wait for RCS warranty work?

The RSC is running at reduced capacity due to covid restrictions. Not much can be done, but be patient. I had a watch there for six months earlier this year. In the mean time, enjoy the other watches in your collection.

Exactly this.

I sent a watch to Dallas RSC at the beginning of September and was quoted 17 weeks for the work.

Due to cv19 and other things, RSC is running a bit behind.

If you want to hear about muuuuch loooonger service times as normal, go visit the Patek board.

Well it looks like I’m not the only one. Thanks for your feedback. I was also told that aside from Covid the delay has to do with Rolex not selling parts to jewelers on older models so all repairs have to be done by an RCS. If this is the case maybe they need to reconsider their stance on servicing all watches.
