DD40MM 228238-228239 Dial

I’m just notice about DD40MM dial, why some of them has Rolex crown between Swiss Made.
Why some of them don’t have it?

My new 41 sub has the crown between the Swiss and Made. I think this was a change for the 2020 41 models. I'm not sure if this was a gradual change from 2019 - 2020 mid model though as I'm not an expert by any means.

The crown means it has the new 32XX movement with 70 hr power reserve.

Not necessarily. All dd40s have the newer movement. The early ones didn’t have the crown.

I had one of those early ones

My DD40 is from 2018 and doesn’t have the crown. Does that mean it will increase in value? A non-crown DD lol!!
