Hi, I was in the market looking for a Rolex Ladies Datejust, 28 mm, 18kt yellow gold and steel jubilee bracelet with white dial and gold roman numerals and a fluted bezel. The Rolex site listed it at $9,550.00.

I live outside of Washington, DC and tried every way I could to avoid the taxes. All the authorized dealers stated they couldn't do it. I went to another authorized dealer about 30 mins from the beltway and saw the exact watch I wanted for her.

I asked the Dealer if he could do anything about the price. I told him I would pay cash. I walked out the door with a brand new Ladies Datejust for $9,000.00 even. They even wrapped it up and gave me a Rolex hat. Did I get a great deal?

Hi All, I purchased my Girlfriend the above watch for her 62nd birthday. She has no idea and will be so surprised this weekend (not to mention, she got a Louis Vuitton bag as well). I was able to get the watch at $9,000.00 out the door (cash). No taxes. I live in the Washington, DC area and no one was able to discount the watch with cash or work with the taxes. I went to a smaller AD about 30 minutes from the beltway and got the exact watch I was looking for. She is going to love it! Now she is a member of the club!

I believe so. If you pushed you probably could of gotten a decent TT or SS men’s pieces too

Depends on the quality of the wrapping

PS. Don't wear the hat in public, IMO. They look a bit silly unless maybe you're playing golf.
