Air King 5500 Precision
Hi guys, what do you think about this:
https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/air-k...id16578386.htm I honestly don't know anything about this model, except that the dial looks gorgeous. Seller has the receipt from Rolex stating they installed a new case and bracelet. Is it normal for Rolex to completely replace the case and bracelet on such and old watch? How does the dial look to you? Honestly the rolex crown looks wonky to me (too flat or something), but googling this model, i see plenty of different dials with different looking crowns. Thanks guys |

The case is usually replaced when there is too much corrosion or damage to it. If it were a collector piece then this would be devastating to the overall value. But this piece, being quite common, you are essentially getting a brand new 5500 Air King.
Bracelets are commonly replaced when the original is too stretched and worn and dials were made by multiple companies so there will always be differences in older dials. The asking price is at about the top of its value.
