Ive had the pleasure of winding this PLM and I think any Lange with fusee and chain winds the absolute best. The tactile "in-hand" feel of winding was not something I really cared about until I was lucky enough to be able to play with one of these guys. Its like turning a car on. I recall that the chain itself can hold a 2kg weight at the end of it so I would imagine they are pretty robust to handle the torque. Cant really speak to technicality of it all, just really enjoyed winding that PLM perhaps moreso than any other timepiece I've had the chance to play with.
