Rolex arabic numeral font
Apologies if this has been asked already. Having recently purchased an Explorer, I guess like many before me who have fallen under its spell, I'm thinking of all the details that were put in to make it such a clean and effective watch. Just for fun and to make this a bit more fun to read, I was/am a graphic designer for 15 years and everything I did was usually more typography based, so my stuff was usually very clean but with thought and attention behind every choice. Now, for the past 6 months, I've been a microbrewery owner. We do big stouts and IPA's that are brash and flavourful, but the more delicate lagers are what are challenging and need extra attention.
I guess it's with all of that in mind that I'm wondering how Rolex settled on the arabic numeral font choice. It's predominant on the Explorer and Air King but can also be seen on many models over the minute markers. If anyone has any info I'm very interested. Cheers! Sent from my SM-G973W using Tapatalk |
