Are Submariners 124060 still hard to get?

Actually I got one already but a friend outside the US is asking for help trying to get one. I asked the AD where I got mine from and she says there's a long line now. I remember there was a lot of "Incoming!" threads and thought maybe it's different now. I'm glad I got mine and to think I almost turned it down

Hope you're all enjoying the Thanksgiving Weekend

Supply is probably done until next year would be my guess. So its very hard to buy new from any AD at MSRP.

Are Submariners 124060 still hard to get?

Some people had reported buying them with no prior history with AD, so not impossible

I always just check the classified section here. The larger the premium the watch resellers are asking, the longer someone will have to wait for the watch from an AD. And that depends on finding an AD that will sell to you instead of re-stocking the watch resellers.

Pretty tough here in the Northern CA. I've been on the imaginary list with a couple ADs and don't see daylight anytime soon.

In Europe I would say it’s really hard to get one of you don’t have an extreme good con with AD

Yes. I got a BLRO and Hulk this year, and I still don't have a black sub despite being promised one. Go figure. You're either a VIP, or lucky, if you have one.

I was one of the lucky ones able to collect one with no prior history, in central London of all places. Albeit was on the 'list' for the former model for approximately a year.

But I consider myself very lucky though to be honest, and I suspect they will be difficult to obtain at RRP for quite some time to come.

I assume the friend wants it through an AD at msrp and that will be difficult unless you are a VIP. I would look to our Trusted Sellers if I wanted the watch and make a reasonable offer. Asking price and getting price are sometimes two different things.

I believe production at Rolex stops for the holiday period soon. Shipments to ADs may also be affected by this and further covid restrictions. Just my guess
