OP 41 vs Explorer 1
Hello All!
Just wanted to know, does the OP41 wear larger than the Explorer 1? I know that the exp 1 is listed as 39m. However we know that rolex sizes are usually all over the place Does anyone have photos of the OP 41 next to the Explorer 1? Cheers |

I have an Explorer I and have tried OP41 on my wrist and yes, OP does wear big in my eyes.
I don't have side to side pics though.

Explorer is much more tapered and sleek in comparison.

OP 41 vs Explorer 1
I believe the OP41 wears bigger than the Explorer 1. Looked bigger on my 6.75 inch wrist and the Exp bracelet felt more comfortable to me.

its not really bigger i don't think...there is way more white space and if you have a lighter dial makes the watch look feel larger.

Get the Explorer I - that's what your heart is set on, don't settle for an OP41 as a substitute!

Great comparison shots, I am actually surprised it wears so much larger after all the "they really are the same width".

I'm pretty sure the OP41 case is actually bigger than the Explorer, and certainly the dial size is bigger. I think there is a You Tube video on the measurements comparing the OP39 and OP41 (the OP39 is the same exact case as the Explorer).

The case of the new OP 41 is approx. 39.5 mm, so just slightly larger than the case of the Exp 1 that is 39 mm; anyway if you wear the 2 watches the OP 41 looks bigger than the Exp 1 and the reasons are (i) the OP 41 has definitely a larger dial than the the Exp 1 mainly due to different size of the bezels and (ii) the bracelet of the OP 41 is 21mm instead of 20 mm of the Exp 1.

Random question, if swapping to leather/strap, did the OP41 follow the new Sub's and go from 20mm lug width to 21mm for the bracelet?

OP41 has a lug width of 21 millimeters. Max 66 already stated this in his reply.

Does anyone know of a list of all current references and their lug width?

The shape of the bezel seems different between the two watches depicted in this thread. On the OP41 it looks more vertical, on the EXP I, it looks a bit more horizontal. Don't know if the bezel shape is a factor contributing at all to actual 'wearable size' or not.
