FS: 1963 Rolex Explorer 1016 Gilt Chapter Ring Underline Dial
Hi All,
I’m selling a 1963 Rolex Explorer 1016 with a glossy gilt chapter ring underline dial, here are the details: Dial: Excellent glossy gilt chapter ring underline dial that shows just light aging. The gilt gold printing remains crisp and vibrant. The tritium hands and hour markers have aged to a warm sandy hue. When exposed to UV light, they glow brightly then drop off quickly. Case: Very good condition 36mm stainless steel case serial 901,xxx that shows wear from use and what is likely some sleeve polish. Of special note is the fact that serial number and reference numbers on the mid case were stamped on the opposite sides of the case to where you traditionally see them - the reference is at 6:00 and the serial number is at 12:00. This is a known error for cases of this era. The 6251 folded link big crown Jubilee bracelet is dated to 1968 and is in very good condition, showing wear from use and typical stretch for its age. Movement: The Rolex automatic calibre 1560 movement is in good operating condition, service history is unknown. The Deal: My price is $26,950 with overnight shipping from Fedex and third-party insurance from IFS Inforsure. Reasonable offers and trades are always welcome. I will accept payment via wire transfer or PayPal +3% with buyer references. You get a 3 day inspection period and may return the watch for any reason. You'll receive a full refund minus all shipping, insurance, packaging and other costs associated with the purchase and return of the watch. My name is Michael and I can be reached at 415.323.3938, via email at [email protected] or on Instagram @sectordial. Face to face transactions may be possible in Los Angeles by appointment. I am an IWJG member in good standing. Happy to provide references as needed. |
