It only took a week.
I got my new Diver a week ago today and scratched the bezel today. It scratched up against the tile wall in my bathroom.
Oh well. Its not has bad as it looks and I'm sure it will be one of many. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk |

I managed to scuff mine the first time out the house with it on.
The thing is, even though mine is now covered in scratches and even some small chips, they really aren’t all that noticeable unless angling it under direct light so don’t detract at all as much as you may think.

It had to happen eventually! We've all felt that sinking in the bottom of the stomach when we realize what we've just done. The real freedom comes when you no longer worry b/c you already have a few marks. Now you can enjoy your watch!

Almost, need to wait about two weeks for the pain to subside, and then the OP can truly start to enjoy the watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s actually quite hard to achieve a good photo showing scratches.
For day to day wear, they don’t detract for me now. They come thick and fast these days, whereas I was a little overprotective at first. At this point only crystal damage would be a nuisance.

Gnarly.
Luckily new bezel part is maybe 300 USD max if you want minty again down the road. |

It was destined to happen, sooner or later.
I saw a teeny tiny scratch on my watch that I swear to God no law in physics can explain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome! Thank you guys for the photos! They still look great. I’ve been a tad over protective trying not to overwear my panda it at home during covid. Only 1 scratch thus far and It’s on the caseback I guess I caught it on my wedding ring the only time I didnt take my ring off first Wearing my batman gmt as my at home beater as it has 6 years of daily abuse already.

I got this on the case, not even the bezel, from fitting a kids car seat.
When something is as finely finished as an AP you will always get marks. Those who get obsessive about them don't enjoy their watches :) Sounds like you are not that type so hope you have many years of enjoyment with it Sent from my VOG-L09 using Tapatalk

Certainly not to the type to obsess over it. Was just curious what they look like and dont want my memories made stuck in the house doing nothing at all lmao.

I know the feeling, the first one hurts. Try not to let it bother you. It’s still a beautiful piece!

Ouu I missed this thread, let me add my heartache too this happened a few years ago within a couple months of owing it...just on the edge of the bezel between the polished and brushed, hardly noticeable but you can feel it. Don't know how it happened but it happened and have since moved on. I'd love to add a ROO with ceramic bezel though.

What is we say around here? The first scratch is expensive, the rest are free?
