My new Tudor 79090 sub, problem with balance cock?

Hello,

I am Tijlus, I am new to this forum. Recently I bought my first expensive watch, a Tudor Submariner 79090. To me as a non-expert, the watch looked good and original, and I would like your thoughts on the watch.

Also, today I saw that the balance cock part of the movement is heavy discolored. What could this be? Is this a problem?

Thank you in advance for helping me, I appreciate it.

Tijlus

Looks to me like the part has lost its rhodium plating. Why only that part and not the rest of the movement? My best guess is it’s a replacement part from a donor movement. But with that said, I don’t see may watchmaker marks on the case back.
Just my speculation.

You never know what is inside an old watch before looking. I have found crazy looking screws, weird fixes, even missing parts. When a watch has a long history, anything can happen. Any reason we give you for the missing plating will just be a guess.

Love that Tudor! My 75090 (black dial and bezel) says, "hi."

Thanks for the responses. If I understand correctly, you are all convinced that this was a good purchase in terms of originality, is that correct? I am somewhat concerned about the balance discoloration. I paid around 4,200 euros. If it turns out that it concerns a donor balance, this would have an impact on the value.
