Where have all the incomings gone?

Seems like since about Christmas time there have not been the usual volume and rate of incomings I am used to seeing on this forum. Have others made the same observation?

Have ADs received less inventory than normal in the last month?

Traditionally ADs receive more inventory before Christmas so people can have gifts for under the tree and then it slows down for January and February. This is fairly normal.

Hi ,

I find this statement exactly what I thought and said to my AD , They actually said they had just had a healthy delivery ?

From my observations the three months before Christmas was crazy,So many incomings and definitely less in the last six weeks

Likely this wave went to a bunch of consumers who don't post on forums or Instagram.

I thought that was the only reason people bought watches to begin with

TRF should have a only "trusted reseller incoming thread." That would be impressive.

When I get the call for my JC the first thing I will do is post an incoming PIC. Well, after I look at it for about 326 times. Just sayin...

When I spoke with my AD toward the end of last month, they said they'd received one shipment since December and cited Rolex's holiday shutdown as being a factor. (Apparently, the company's operations shutter for two weeks every year, for the holidays.)

As probably everyone knows, the contents of the shipments that ADs get are a surprise to the ADs themselves until they arrive. My AD said that they typically know what to expect by reading the "Incoming!" and "Got the Call!"-type posts on sites like this one.

Personally, I've been waiting on an Explorer I for a couple of months, and haven't seen anybody post about having received one in the recent past. I have a feeling Rolex is holding off on sending new ones because they've got something planned (updates, etc.) for the entire Explorer line, to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the Explorer II. Just my thoughts, and I'm probably wrong.

Cheers for reading!
Rolex stops sending stock to ADs about 6 months before a model is officially discontinued. Considering the next release is in April, this could be the case with the Explorer one.

They get sent out from the factory in batches. So TRF incomings are in batches.

My AD said they’d received a couple of Explorer 2s this year. Is the next release definitely in April? Considering the new subs/OPs were only released in September that seems quite soon.

Hello mate.

I picked up my Explorer at the weekend.

Incredible watch. Over the moon with it. 39mm is perfect for me.

Here’s some pics!

I just got a call last week about a SS sports model that I passed on (wrong dial), so I know some are out there moving (hadn't gotten a call for one of these in all of 2020, so probably partly due to where I stood on a list and partly how much was moving).

Where have all the incomings gone?
Long time passing.
Gone to grey sellers everyone.
When will they ever learn,
When wil the ever-er learn.
