OP34 or 36?

Fellow TRFers, Have folks spotted any mid size 2020 OP (34 or 36) in the current inventories of your local AD. And if so, what color? I do not have any relationship w AD and they would not put my name on the waitlist for this basic model. So just been calling around and no luck w 5 ADs in the NE corridor. Appreciate to hear what you see too.

You’ll rarely see them sitting around and most ADs will have lists.
Saying that the 34mm is more of a ladies size (in general) so you’ll definitely have more chance of getting that (but I’d go 36 min unless it’s for your wife/gf)

I found there to be a noticeable difference between 34 and 36. Choose wisely. Try both on before buying if possible.

There is definitely a difference in the modern pieces. However, I can swing a 34 and prefer it.

I found my modern OP 34 wears very similar to my former vintage 36mm DJ from the 70's.

The modern has an almost cushion case going on with it being compact with a bit of girth in the case.

Thank you for the advise. My wife most recently said she prefers the 36 so I will wait for when one becomes available at an AD for her to try it on. I also wish to use this opportunity to build a rapport with a local AD.

That’s true. A modern 34 wears like a 36 mm Explorer.

The 34 only comes in four colors if I'm to believe the configurator on Rolex's website. The 36 has all the "hot" colors such as turquoise, green, candy pink etc..

That is true, which may be why this size may be more difficult to find?

The 36 mm looks good for your size wrist.
