Best Big Size GMT Watch?
Best large GMT Watch, non-Rolex of course, with a little flair? No Panerai recommendations please.

X2!
I will post a few pics - it is definitely the coolest large watch out there! But it is, indeed, LARGE! A case big enough to house 3 separate movements has got to be roomy.

Empty your mind and keep your eyes on the swinging pendulum. 1...2...3... There are 3 choices. Rolex GMT stainless, Rolex GMT TT, Rolex GMT gold. There are no other choices. At the count of 3 you will awake and feel a sense of peace 1...2....3...... your back in the room.

Glycine Airman 9 ref 3840 is one my grail.
Sadly not in production anymore and only made in relatively limited number. |

No offense taken! My AD had s silver/orange one with a small nick on the trigger and offered it at close to 50% of the completely ridiculous and made up "list price". I still passed. BUT it fits the bill, its a BIG GMT! I think they are great looking but I'm not paying 1/3 of what they are asking for them.

Glycine Airman!!!!
I think I have found my grail (at least for this week). I own Rolex and other fine watches, but this picture, the amazing Glycine Airman, has captured my attention like almost no watch in my life. PLEASE TELL ME ALL YOU KNOW ABOUT IT AND THE COMPANY!!!!! Specifically, are they reliable? Good movements? Certified chronometers? ANY AND ALL DETAILS ARE MUCH APPRECIATED. |

to change the subject a little -
this got me thinking since I am looking to buy a rolex GMT-IIC next. if you look at the omega above - I have a planet ocean with co-axial and it is 1 second fast ever 2 days. at the price $6,866 - and i can get 30% off from my ad - comes to $4,806 probably $3k used you get chronograph, date, and gmt you have to buy 3 rolexs to get that functionality. All would be smaller, and cost more to! |
