I have a buddy of mine who managed to score a 1967 Tudor Prince Sub on an oyster bracelet for $1000 from a guy who is not in the watch collecting community, or knows anything about watches. He got it back in 1981 as partial payment on a job he did for someone who had a collection.

The watch has been inspected and openned and is legit.

The watch is pretty much a pre-ceramic Rolex Subdate except it has a Tudor dial.

I don't collect vintage pieces, but if I did, this would be the only Tudor I'd ever buy as it's basically a Rolex. Even the caseback is engraved with Rolex on it.
