Hulk V vs LV

In looking around at various Hulks, I have noticed that some have a model number of 116610V while others have 116610LV. What is the difference between the two model numbers? Did the Hulk out start as a V and then changed to LV in recent times?

I think there is just one Hulk. There were many 16610LV (mark 1 to 5).
I guess 116610V is wrong speling.

The 16610LV is the "Kermit"

16610LV is the "Kermit" (The 5 digit submariner with the green bezel and black dial) and the 116610LV is the "Hulk" (The 6 digit submariner with the green bezel and green sunburst dial.)

I don't think the OP is asking about the five digit. The OP seems to be asking why the six digit is sometimes listed with a LV and other times just with a V. Neither of the references in the OP are five digits.

lol
miss spelling , 116610V doesn't exist
LV stands for Lunette Verte
Only one letter hasn't been used to defined a rolex color configuration

Yes, not just on the Hulk, other models have an initial missing, fairly common.

Thanks everyone, this info is very helpful. Now I just need to decide if I want to sell my 114060 and Black Bay Red to fund a Hulk! Tough decision.

That is a tough one. I don't think I would let them both go to get the LV-c, do one and pony up the cash.

I would not. That's a lot of green on the LV-C. 114060 is more classic.

Sell the BB and add the LV-C if you want some green.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really like the LV-C but I'm not sure if I can live with that much green for a daily wearer.

Exactly the reason I don't own it.

Not a mistake. The Rolex USA watches had warranty card that said 116610V.
The Rolex SA watches warranty card had 116610LV.
Same watch. Rolex USA is a different entity from Rolex SA.

My card said 116610V. Is it more cool or less cool?

You would be surprised. Try one on. I could live with the Hulk for life...IF I did not want a full yellow gold Sub..my holy grail.

I wish the Hulks' bezel was like the pic above when viewed with normal light (Dark forest green) with the Sunburst dial that would look amazing (and I would pick it up) but it's more of a Matte green which is not my cup of tea.

It is however still an amazing watch though.

Every time I pass a Rolex AD, I try one on. I think that it would be great to have one in addition to my 114060.

Great photo by the way

114060 and BBR is a great pair. No way I'd let them go for a hulk.

LV: lunette verde versus V: verde
Models 2010-2014 seem to say 116610V.

My original card says 116610V (2014) After Service in 2020 says 116610LV.
Serviced at ROLEX -Beverly Hills.

116610V : Dial/Bezel -GREEN vs LV Green Bezel.

This was changed to LV after 2014 (all USA models)
