Does the tudor deployant clasp work with aftermarket straps?

I am considering picking up a tudor deployant clasp for my black bay 58 blue.

For those who are familiar with the clasp, I want to know if aftermarket spraps (ie. Any non oem tudor strap) can be mounted easily with the tudor deployant.

My omega deployant clasp can't be used with a strap unless it is specially made for the omega clasp.

Is it the same with tudor? Or can I buy any aftermarket strap, remove the tang buckle and mount it onto the tudor deployant?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't see why not as long as the strap is the same with at the buckle.

Not a problem at all. I use the Tudor deployant on my Vanguard rubber strap just fine.

I know the lug width on the bb58 is 20mm.

Would a strap that tapers to 18mm fit the deployant clasp?
Or is the clasp width 16mm?

I tried a few aftermarket leather strap with my gmt but didn’t work out. Lug width and width of taper is easy but LENGTH of strap without holes will be too long and the deployant will not line up in correct position to fit your wrist. Wrist 6.75 here, might work with larger wrist.

Does anyone know the length of the 2 portions / halves of the soft touch strap?

If we know those then finding an appropriate strap length would be easier.
