Why be afraid? As long as people are happy with the one they can snatch up then it’s worth every penny to them. Is there one way to buy Rolex that is “righter” than another?

I want enthusiast to actually be able to get any model they want at a AD and even be able to try on a few. Until recently this is how you could buy a Rolex. You didn’t feel desperate and had the time and leisure to try on various models and make a more informed purchase. FOMO was never a factor in making a purchase.

Visited ADs in Zurich, London, Hawaii and California over the past few years. No s/s models, of course, and quick with a smirk when asked. However, an established relationship with an AD salesperson has resulted in success with a Sub and GMT at retail in the past year. But both were quick offers with less than a half hour window to commit to the purchase before it was sold. So patience and a credit card worked in this case.

Visited two AD’s here in town yesterday. One of which I walked in and purchased an Air King out of the case last year and the other I worked at 20 years ago in college. I think I counted four total men’s watches in the cases. Two stainless datejusts a two tone and a YM II. This is all to say my next purchase will probably be a speedy.

Incheon Airport Omega store open, lots and lots of new watches. 10% discount on some, and 30% discount on others !

The one thing I have found out after looking at many TRF threads is just how insignificant I am as a person.

If the staff hasn't been laid then there must be sales occurring.

Crazy. I can respect that they are not willing to just pump up production as a means of preserving quality.

Was at Tourneau South Coast plaza. They had plenty of 2T DJs and ladies watches.

I would imagine the Ladies watches are quite a tough sale now a days. Considering younger generation women wear larger watches. I only see silver women wearing small face watches.

I dont know what happend but it seems that the adds also lie in this case my ad in iran said that they did not receive any submariners for 3 years and i saw a lots of watches in the gray market with their certificate , I am really don’t understand how rolex controls ads and how ads play with us , I hope this game will finish soon because every day pass we see that rolex make no respect for clients , this is very sad and i while fan of rolex with this situation and lack of respect from ad and rolex i prefer to buy zenith omega jager they give you disscount the watches are incredible and value on money

Why doesn’t Rolex supply AD’s with caliber-less examples of watches. So clients at least see & try on to get a feel for the different selections? They can still keep the cases empty if that is their marketing strategy. But clients placing real orders could benefit.

Sounds like Rolex is more and more going down the Ferrari path. Good for Rolex but is really good for the end client?

Well not in my area. Except for the Tourneau in the Bal Harbor mall which is the highest sales per sf mall int he country all the other ADs are pretty much barren.

The Mayors in Aventura mall is expanding by a factor of 4. I have to think that they got a pretty solid commitment from Rolex to supply them with watches. No one in their right mind would make that kind of monetary investment in the store buildout and lease agreements to have empty cases.

In DC while waiting for a repair at the AD d ss had a few TT, men’s, some women watches. One SS 36mm DJ w diamonds.

I think they keep a couple in back. .Was told DD’s are taking 4months as per Rolex when ordered. I got a DD Yg last year took like 6 weeks, then in November asked for a DD40 WG olive and got in 4 weeks( I am a VIP there), but don’t think it’s the same now even for me good customer and they like
me, so
