Dj2 vs Daytona Comparison

Just because! (why Not)

I personally love this dial variation on the old dj2!

Of these two, I prefer the dj2 and I know it’s probably not the popular opinion.

Cant say for certain, both sexy.

I suggest one for casual everyday other for nicer functions?

DJ2 all the way unless you utilize the functions of the Daytona (which no one does since the invention of digital timers).

Always loved the DJII more than the 41.

Plus I need a date function, so the Daytona will never be in my collection.

But that one with Arabic numerals is an eye catcher for sure.

The TT Arabic DJII is a classic. I prefer it over that Daytona. Good illustration that the Daytona is not even close in size to its 40 mm designation.

Another DJII fan. It’s like the dial on the DJ eats up the dial and bezel on the Daytona.

Not a fan of the Daytona. Get my chrono fix from the Tag Monaco

DJ2 is a fabulous watch and outshines that Daytona by a mile in my opinion.

Here’s a few of mine....

Legibility and simplicity always win for me. Daytona dial “or any chronograph dial” never sang to me.

There is a reason Rolex makes a lot of different models and there's also a reason many of us own a lot of those different models and collect them. Both of those are nice pieces and they will each resonate with different people that prefer one or the other but that doesn't make either the better watch. Wear what you like but remember that the market has already decided that the Daytona is the more desirable piece. That doesn't mean you have to go along with that opinion. I love the Daytona and own 2 of them and they get more wrist time than the rest of my collection combined but if I had to own only one watch it wouldn't be either a DJ or a Daytona. It would be a simple SS Sub/date....5 digit.....which I'm fortunate to have as well but I don't wear it as much as the Daytonas because......well because they (the Daytonas) are fun to look at even if they are not that functional. So they get the most wear time.

This Datejust2 jumps out at me; I had wondered if the Romans were more classy but this watch is super easy to read, still has lume, looks dressy as can be!

I love it!
